Pastured Free-Range Eggs

Our hens free range on pasture and are moved with their mobile coop or “egg mobile” frequently (up to 1-2x per week during the busy growing season) to a fresh spot in the pasture following the cattle rotation by a few days. This ensures they always have access to fresh grass that has been mowed down a bit by the cattle, allowing them to naturally spread fertilizer from the cattle through the pasture (as well as their own) and harvest their own proteins in the form of bugs, worms, as well as fly larvae as our own natural pasture pest cleanup crew. Our hens also get a blend of dried herbs in their nesting boxes which is not only pleasant smelling but is also great to keep pests out and create a relaxing environment for them to lay their eggs. They also like to snack on them from time to time. They also eat pasture forages such as clovers, grass seeds, and grass – yes – our chickens chickens love grass too! 💚 We supplement their diet with locally grown and milled non-GMO & soy-free grain as well as additional oyster shell & grit fed free choice so they can get exactly what they need to grow strong, healthy egg shells. Combining their free range diet with healthy supplements equals a nutrient dense and delicious egg!
